Original – Horizon always appears flat, curvature seen only in CGI images.
When performing a 360-degree circular view, the horizon always appears perfectly straight, regardless of the observer’s height. All amateur footage taken from balloons, rockets, airplanes, and drones from altitudes up to 20 miles or more displays a perfectly flat horizon. The curvature of the surface only appears in fake CGI (computer-generated imagery) photos, in promotional videos from NASA and other government “space agencies,” which intentionally make it look curved.
Versus – The horizon always appears straight on Earth due to its vast size.
The horizon on the Earth always appears straight. This is because Earth is very large, and its curvature is not visible at short distances. The obvious curvature becomes noticeable only from great heights, like from orbit (about 249 miles [400 km]). Balloons and drones can ascend to a maximum of 20 miles [32 kilometers].
